Possibly one of Rochester's best kept musical secrets, CATCH 22 has maintained a loyal following, playing hundreds of shows since forming in 1997. Playing a large variety of cover songs from the 70’s thru today’s cutting edge modern rock their song selection offers something for everyone, from AC/DC or Led Zeppelin to Maroon 5 or Jet, they aim to please and do just that night after night. 

The members of CATCH 22 have a musical connection that goes back to the 1980’s when guitarist Pete Manuel and bass player Andy Ramirez began playing together in their teens, forming a band with lead singer Dan Mayer in 1984. Throughout the eighties and early nineties each musician went their own way and did so quite successfully.

Guitarist Pete Manuel was a member of MORIAH, who in the early nineties were one of Rochesters most successful rock bands, releasing two compact discs that received heavy radio airplay locally and regionally. Pete was also a member of TALON for 3 years.

Bass player Andy Ramirez recorded and toured with SAVOY BROWN, who are a legendary British blues band and also released a CD with guitarist Greg Howe for Shrapnel Records.
 
Lead singer Dan Mayer toured the East Coast with various bands for about ten years, returning to Rochester in the mid nineties he formed SPECIAL ED, who also released a CD titled “Center” which received great reviews.

Drummer Rick DeBellis was originally in Catch 22 from 2001 until the summer of 2002, he has rejoined the band after a 4 year hiatus and is excited to be back in Catch 22. A very solid drummer with excellent backing vocal ability, the band is very happy to have him back.

Quality musicianship and a song after song performance, this is a band that if you haven’t seen yet, you owe it to yourself to check out.
